has anyone hooked up the gopro while they were flying. is there a way to input a microphone so you can hear audio from the headsets?

Not a GoPro, but I have a Drift HD 170 mini-camcorder mounted in my airplane. The audio feed comes from the spare headphone jacks. Video shows from joystick-level up; you can read flight instruments on panel, and see clear images of runway & etc. outside. Works great. Plus, with the tiny remote control, you can turn on & off as you fly. PM me if you want more info.
