Re: [rpersi] looking for a lesson in packing
a little history, started skydiving in 97, got married in 98 and quit, airborne in 00, divorced in 02, started back in 04, lost my good job in 05 and quit again, started back again last year, lost my next good job two months later, started hanging out at the new dz this fall, plan on aff to finish up student status during income tax time.
i have about 45 skydives and 26 airborne jumps but still don't have a skydiving license cause that shit's expensive when you're a student. i know at least one base jumper in ky, he runs the dz that i'm gonna go to to in march, since the last gig didn't work out. he probably reads this, so "hi".
man, i'm 40 years old, this shit ain't going anywhere. i'm in no hurry. i've been doing a lot of reading lately and decided it's time to get off my ass and start learning. jumping out of planes has been a passion of mine for a while now, but i've always wanted to base jump. there's no need to rush things, however, and i figure if i could find someone that lives an hour away, i could make use of my time this winter. if it don't work out here, i'll give my buddy a call and i know he'll hook me up. being an unemployed college student kinda limits me on funds right now.
