Amazon was selling the HD Helmet version for 238 $ a while back, but they refused to ship it to addresses outside US. Currently they seem to be selling the HD naked version for 253.3 $.

sorry im rutardid guys. this is the helmet version that has mounts and stuff with it. a cpl people thought they were nakeds but they are the helmet version to clarify things. i should know when i'l get em by monday or tues and il probly pm erbody again

I agree. the video from the gopro is better. i just don't understand the physical shape of the gopro. why would you design a helmet cameral in the least aerodynamic shape possible. it seems like the front could be made up of the lens and whatever components they have to the left of the lens could be put behind the lens. This would make the casing long and narrow. This would be less likely to snag on lines, more aerodynamic, more aesthetic, and more practical in general.

I need a Go Pro for Underwater Spearfishing AND Base Jumping. I was wondering about buying the Go Pro Surf, as it comes with a Water Housing. Will I be able to mount this to my Base Helmet, too?

You really should check out the Drift HD170 - see photo. Has wrist mounted remote, screen to sight-in / review vidoes, up to 170 degree wide angle, full HD, rotating lens......it's an awesome camera!

You mean.........like the Drift HD170!! Sorry to hijack, but design-wise it is FAR superior to the GoPro - much less snag points, better features, excellent video quality.....

I am selling cut-price Drift HD170's for a distributor, yes, but note that I didn't try to flog them or give my info out in someone else's post who is selling another camera - that would just be rude!

I just believe in the product I own so much I want to spread the word and let people know there are options other than the GoPro, and I see the Drift as a safer option, which is important to me.

no worries bout the douche bag factor of doing your best to sell the brand you like on a thread i created to try to help a few people get a deal. i like the fact that you feel its a safer cam! if it saves anybody from death or injury i'm all for it for sure!


on another note i appologize for the delay on my part. my ltl girl got sick and i spent lastweek in the hospital and docs office. i'm wondering if everybody wants to send me a check for theirs cams or should i set up a paypal (paypal does cost but i dont know how much) or im open to other suggestions as well
