Anyone with winter experience in moab/slc, just wondering how jan is. Other than being really cold, and icy exit points, anything else to worry about? Anyone else gonna be hittin it round then?

Fucking cold... That's about it. :) Sometimes snowy and icy. If a storm is moving in or out obviously it gets windy. Nobody around in Moab is the only factor in solo jumping that you have to worry about. I've sat on top of Tombstone in January for hours waiting on wind (and for lack of better things to do) and did not see a single person come down the road (which is generally bustling with people all other times of year.) Hotel rooms are cheap then as well...

Moab is beautiful in the winter, and is perfect for jumping! It doesn't snow often, and it usually doesn't stick around that long. If there is snow, just take a handful of salt and some water with you. You'll be able to clear a small with to take a few steps (and most jumps aren't that bad to get to - there are some exceptions though :-P).

Haha i was like oh no big deal, just my reserve flap... wait I don't have a reserve F***K! And only if you promise not to land in trees and start swinging hook knives around frantically without any need! hahaha
