Basejumper.com - archive

I know this isnt about base, but please leave it in this thread (since i think more people would read it in here rather than in hangout...)

3 Hot air balloons including Basket, bottles, Trailer, and other equipment has been stolen last night from good friends of mine in austria near vienna.

Branding, identifier, type of the balloons (See attached pictures):

CASINO Baden OE-ZAD Schön Neptun 2500
EISPETER OE-ZPT Schön Neptun 4000
ROSA OE-ZAE Cameron A-120

Im pretty shure whoever stole them is already over the border, but if you see one of those balloons contact local autorities with the info that those have been stolen in austria.

@moderators: maybe open a dedicated "stolen gear" thread in general, where one can put stuff like this?

Dropzone has a stolen section, you might want to post an ad there too, if you haven't already.

basejumper.com doesn't have a stolen section because base jumpers don't steal gear.

I was writing the dropzone.com post as you replied here...

thing is, its not about basejumpers stealing gear, but basejumpers getting their gear stolen. so if one gets offered cheap gear, one could look up if has been stolen from another jumper.

I guess this is true.

At any rate, I'll keep my eyes pealed for those balloons when I'm over in Europe.
