The Movie: Frozen (2010)
An independent film worth watching: Frozen

The wife picked up the flick for a buck from
one of those movie vending machines, I took
a quick look and said, "Oh okay, 'Open Water'
meets snow".

So the movie starts & I just keep waiting for
the inevitable to happen, except when it does
I ended up being cold, scared, and yelling at
the screen numerous life saving instructions
that the actors fail to hear or heed...

Hope you enjoy it Cool
oh, you found me, hello :-)

They really just should've said "It's Open Water, but the water is snow."

That literally sums it up. Unimpressed

The first time I saw the preview i thought the movie was a joke I didn't think it could be serious. To each his own but not for me

***SPOILER ALERT***
Yes, definitely NOT a great film but I did like it.

FYI - we do NOT watch television or cable hence
I do not think either us ever saw a preview for it.

In all honesty I thought my wife had made a bad
pick and I was about to shit through 90 minutes
of shit... in the beginning I kept thinking alright
hurry up, get stuck, and start freaking out, but
once it happened I was weirdly really into it.

Now please keep in mind, the whole time I kept
saying that these three kids were fucking idiots!!
But isn't that par for almost all horror films?!?

Once the lights went out and they knew for sure
that they were really fucked survival mode should
have kicked in!

Not talking about drinking piss or anything (Tongue)
but for fuck's sake zip up your goddamn jacket,
put your hood up, pull your goggles down, etc.

I guess part of what made me like the movie
was 1) it scared me, 2) no name actors, and
3) it was a small budget indie film.

Lastly, the footage of the 50' fall & subsequent
double, compound, broken legs was realistic and
fucking sick. Those of us who have come in hot
and pounded will recognize the visuals.

Re: [GreenMachine] ***SPOILER ALERT***
Sometimes perception is key to making movies like this "good" or "bad."

"Open Water" was really a freaky movie, but I have also been diving out of the country on many occasions in very similar circumstances. I have a lot of friends who do not dive that thought it was the dumbest movie in the world. I think the reason I thought it was scary, where they did not, is because I've seen first hand how easy a situation like that can occur. The sense that wow, this could happen really easy, it could have happened to me, is what made it scary.

Open water was OK. Frozen was terrible and unrealistic.
