Generally rule of thumb is to get a velcro rig for subterminals until you know what you are doing. They are much easier to pack and harder to mess up.

that rule of thumb is about as dated as direct bag deployment !
"They are much easier to pack and harder to mess up" - aside from forgetting a pullup cord in the closing loop I find 2pinners quite easy too. Plus it's either closed or not, as opposed to the various "almost open" stages of peeling velcro.. YMMV

While there's nothing wrong with velcro rigs, the Genesis is a "new generation" Velcro rig, with reversible flap and some other "new to velcro" features.
I suggest the OP emails Kathy @ Morpheus and gets the info straight from the source.
