You say that like BASE jumpers are going to crawl off that trany ass, come down off that building, and hide the polaroids and coke, and jump for joy that someone wants to be mentored. Why I bet fights even break out between 'mentors' because they can't agree on who gets to grab you by the horns and skull fuck you untill you are ready to jump...

You seem like you expected someone to jump right up and take you in. 'Mentors' are not used car salesman, No one is going to walk you through this holding your hand. Your expectations are too high. People on here expect more from you. Like at least if not one of the most important aspects of BASE, its called 'patience' If you have been lurking and reading like you say, you would have discovered that.
Can I call you BIll? Good, Bill, I wish you the best of luck. I and everyone else on here/well, most, know what its like to start out new/some have forgotten, but even that isnt enough motivation to take someone out and watch them die.
It is good that you introduced yourself. Now, start re-reading and doing some leg/finger work and find some jumpers in your area like your DZ and exercise patience. I spent an entire day hiding, lieing, running thru the woods, testing the four wheel drive on my pathfinder, I even ended up in a hardware store with some local residents that found me trespassing, my jumping partner had to camp out on the side of a bridge for an hour yesterday while I bullshited my way out of trouble, long enough to get to the exit only to be turned around by bad winds. In the end, no one knew we were there to jump.
Patience.
