FacebookTwitterE-mailWhat appears to be a terrible accident has ended in a miracle as a 10-year-old Chinese boy survived a 20-story fall from his apartment in southwest China's Guizhou Province on Monday, according to local news reports.
The boy, who has not been named, apparently fell out of an open window during a rainstorm, landing on a Citroën car parked below. The child broke the car's roof and back windshield and suffered eight injuries as a result, according to police and his doctors. However, the boy's head was cushioned by a pillow in the backseat.
Doctors say the boy is in stable condition, though he does have a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
The car's owner lives in the boy's building, and told the local press, "It's great news the boy survived. The car can be fixed easily."
