In July this year I visited an island in Italy called [ ]. At the top is a mountain called Monte S that drops nearly 1800 meter, not vertical but very steep (probably first half vertical, then second half steep).

It's frankly the most amazing view I've ever seen in my life and ever since then I can't shake the idea of jumping it.

Wanted to know if anyone here knew if it had been done? Figure because it goes to the sea there may be some issue with thermals and turbulence that prevents it being done.

Hope someone can tell me. :-)

Nothing to do with your question... but I've been there too, and I must also say that it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! If anyone goes to Italy, make sure to include [Italian Isle] as one of your destinations to visit. It's amazing. It literally felt like being in heaven.

- we avoid site naming in these forums.

- many jump locations are NOT fully legal. so many jumpers refrain from admitting to jumping an object.

- even if the site is legal, publicizing the object risks bringing a bunch of ill prepared jumpers to the location.

have you earned the trust of jumpers? if not, why expect an answer?

I take your points which all make sense but I think your final statement makes you sound like a bit of a cock to be honest.

I asked because it's a beautiful place and having skydived for a few years jsut thought it would be an amazing experience to jump there.

There's a differnce being part of a small communiity and being an elitist jerk. Anyone with a brain can see my post was simply asking for information about something that facinates me, not trying to crack into your club, earn a secret squrrel star, turn the community upside down and then grass anyone up.

if you had lurked, you might have read other posts of a similar nature. if you had read the rules before posting, you might have avoided the site naming. both actions would have demonstrated a lot of respect.

if you choose NOT to demonstrate respect, should you expect it?

basic courtesy. listen before talking. do not interrupt a conversation. do not demand attention. all useful skills at a party, or online.
