Hey there

I'd like to start base jumping its something I've been interested in for a while, the problem is I literally have no idea where I could begin, so basically in this post I'm just going to ask, How did you start? What were some of the first jumps you completed? and What was it that interested you in base jumping?

To get a better response from people here it would be a good idea to give a bit more info on yourself, where your from what you do what your background is etc, fill out your profile

Everyone will tell you the same thing. Start skydiving. Find a dropzone closest to you and get enrolled in their AFF programme. Things will progress naturally from there.

there are regular posts asking basically the same question. there are articles to read, including an entire section entitled "Getting into BASE."

you'll be impressed how much you can learn if you just look.

I've started looking into AFF courses and I'm glad I've got somewhere I can start now..

As for an introduction,
My name is Lee, I'm 19 and currently live in sunny England..

I'm interested in Bmxing and other similar sports (unfortunately not at professional level) so I kinda figured that Skydiving/Basejumping would be quite interesting to get into.

The majority of my life I've been in education and I've still got many years to go, I'm currently studying an Art & Design Diploma which will then help me to progress onto University but in the mean time I'd like to do other things like travel a little bit and learn to sky dive.

So while I do that I'll stick around here and soak up information and then maybe one day I'll be able to share a few basejumping stories, Hopefully..

Alot of the UK universities have skydiving clubs that also get you discounts.
