Tips for Wingsuit BASE in the Swiss Valley
Tips for Wingsuit BASE in the Swiss Valley* *this is not a comprehensive list. Just things I have observed in the last week here. Please add to it, if you saw something I did not.
-Always go to the highest Exit, regardless of Rock drop. Higher = Safer
-Always go to the exit with the shortest hike.
SHorter Hike = Better Flight
High Ultimate = Best
Eiger = Worst
-Always Fly Biggest SUit. Bigger Suit = More Control
-1st Terminal BASE jump should be wingsuit. Tracking teches bad habits and things happen faster. Slower = Safer
-Wingsuit Skydives are dangerous preperation. A tail strike could kill you. No tail strike on cliff. Also Cliffs don't crash
-Always fly as far as you can. No one respects someone who pulls high with an average flight. Far = Low Low = cool
-Practices touches optional. Missed pull = lower Lower = Cooler
-Fly as many cameras as possible. The person with the most cameras is coolest. Youtube needs you.
-Bad Exits that make you turn mean you are ready to proximity fly.
-To recover from unstable exits, close eyes and relax. Open after you clear ledge.
-IF your friends say you are progressing to fast, they are not cool. Jeaslous friends = Not cool. Find new friends.
-If trackers outfly you in wingsuit. Get bigger Wingsuit. Or pull lower.
-If scared on exit, ask around for friend to do 2way. More People = More safe.
-A good cure for unstable exits, is arials.
Yes this applies to many people in the Valley right now. Thank you all for helping the sport progress at an amazing pace.
