Doesn't change the fact that proximity flying will be happening so the name doesn't have to change.

Well just a thought but with a skydiving rig you should be opening by about 2000feet AGL. Since the terrain will not allow you too have an indication of your actual height over the ground it would be too dangerous to jump with skydiving gear. Skydiving gear is much less reliable than BASE gear and on such a proximity flight I am sure most would intend to open below 2000 feet in almost all cases. Of course you can fly a line into open air, but then you can just go skydiving ;-)

Re: [Sinister] Epic Flights Proximity Project
Saw footage from the project while jumping in the valley late summer and there was some good flying. Saw a really nice pass that was totally committed over a high alt line with terrain/peaks on both sides of the WS pilots. Anyone else seen the final footage? Using a heli to access a line that can't be done from a regular exit should open some intersting new routes.

whew! what to say....

BTW isn't it safe to do proximity flying when there are no clouds around the mountains and the pinnacles? (0:31, 0:55) :-)

I always call them artists! Thumbs Up!
