the situation obviously sucks. it also seems obvious that the supertopo folks represent a much larger group than us, that can mobilize much more people.

At least many of the Supertopo posters
came across as sympathetic (IMHO).

This is an argument I used in other threads
but I think & believe it is worth repeating:

Same here, we BASE jumpers will need the
support of Whuffos if we are to succeed in
changing the laws of our National Parks.

my wife, mom, and most of my friends are NOT jumpers.

I would like to say that if we can get a jumpers in college it may be easy to have letters signed and sent to congress. Our Senators and Representatives are the ones to contact and if we all gather our friends, family, coworkers, and classmates to spend 2 seconds signing a letter and 45 cents on a stamp we could flood them with letters. Our voices could be heard!! We must choose however to use them!

This is an attack on the liberty of a group of people who choose to live in a way that is not understood. The liberty of others should not be regulated as long as it doesn't endanger another persons liberty. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I wish to pursue happiness by taking my liberty to risk my life!
