I thought Shane had already done this (on purpose)

Please plant a tree for everyone you cut down - and then hug it Tongue

This is what he told me,

It was very sensitive for my hand only (i probably hit a thick branch) but marks are all the way to the shoulder) of course it got pissed off and tried to bite me back, but i flew away too fast.

As to the not dying part, I swear he has angels that fly along side him. He has had a couple sketchy flights this trip and he comes through them like a pro.

hjumper33 Hey dude, you gotta be a complete jerk feeling yourself allowed to judge a price of somebody life. And of course nationalism is a keystone in your country's history.

For those who`re really interested in details - TizzyLishNinja quoted everything right, even if i never told him something personally, but to my friend in facebook.

2 TizzyLishNinja: I have no angels, fairies, butterflies and other crap flying around me, i just do what i love the way i consider the best for my self. You and others have never seen any of my "sketchy" flights, so please use this word for something that you know better than WS flying.

And of course i understand that for most of the people it`s easier to think that i`m blind and lucky, than admit that WS flying is in the very beginning of its existence and has more potential than any of us could imagine. So i`m glad this beautiful sport is out of the rules, permits and licenses.

...and a bit more:

every experience jumpers konw that fly like Karr (what is GREAT) you have to bee super-current, and I know and believe that He is !!!

...and we all can die in next jump even if we do everything right but also f*** up lot of things and still survive... so thats a beauty of this sport

...and I'm not happy without basejumps, I need to be scared sometimes, and dying is normal part of life and I have totally accepted that I might die with this sport, its giving me way too much so I will go also "hard" and totally understand Karr's point !!!

I too have accepted the fact that I might end up badly injured or dead in this sport. But on the other hand, this sport also gives me so much that from my point of view there is no point of going "hard" if you end up dead because of it. Because when you're dead you can't have fun anymore. Go long, not hard.

30 flights a year is not exactly current.

FFS is there ever going to be a thread where people don't rip the crap out off each other ?

Anyway, I believe Karr does more than 30 flights a year even though he slept a lot in Italy :)

For me that's just impressive footage. You should sell that shit ;)

And he's right, we're only getting started :) just don't die in the process. way more interesting things to come...

if you want such a thread, why post what you just did?
care to lead by example?

as for the video...
yep it was impressive flying. maybe lucky.

remember when the first great video of proximity flying appeared? it was followed by a rash of proximity flying fatalities.

great videos of flippy-dos lead to a bunch of junk flippy dos.

great daytime videos from the potato bridge lead to a couple years of carnage during the big summer weekends. (thankfully, the last few years have quieted down.)

videos inspire the under prepared to jump the valley, get hurt, and create headaches for the locals.

videos get people all pumped and distracted. it causes them to lose track of what is appropriate for them. it could be a whuffo that wants to BASE without skydiving. it could be a BASE jumper who has never worn a wingsuit, or jumped a terminal wall, wanting to proximity fly on their next 2 week vacation.

appreciate and enjoy the video. be astounded by the visuals. please don't let it inspire people to over-extend themselves.

I don't understand why it matters if someone else goes hard or not. Some people only get by by pushing themselves to the limit every time they do something, others just like the ride to each his own right?
Any way whether it be luck or skill it was a good video, and I've glad everyone is ok keep doing what your doing and be safeSmile

Every time something new or "more extreme" than what has been seen before happens, who ever did it has to be the new target for "your gonna die" and "he just got lucky" attacks. From looking through all his stuff it appears to me he is comfortable flying at this level and has done it on several flights. Let the man live, just because most of us aren't capable or comfortable executing jumps like this doesn't make him an ass clown I don't think. Next week someone will fly between the trees and hit two at the same time and they will be the new target. Eventually someone will top that, somewhere in between someone's gonna go in, it's the nature of the sport. In two weeks Andrey will just be another jumper again.

Tree trimming and cold war were sick dude, do your thing, keep it safe at your own comfort level.
