the craft in the pictures has walls but the roofs must've come off

What I tried to asked the community about, was if there were "problems" jumping a rig without dynamic corners. I think...

Dynamic corners have been no problem for me , Dynamic corners are an excellent idea especially when wingsuiting due to different deployment angles.
perhaps try a search as there have been many discussions about dynamic corners. but in general they are god to have.
