Random Stupid Question
If your on a terminal antenna and the winds are honking (25-30) right between the wires, what would happen if you faced inward and deployed a 36? Other than getting pulled off of course.

line twists, no big deal I was at 1400'.

Re: [78RATS] Random Stupid Question
My guess would be a mess. I bet it would open the container, dump the canopy out in a relatively disorderly manner. Then I suspect it would probably spin up as it inflates. Hold on tight, it may not pull you off at that wind speed.

Or, it will just work.

Edit: Missed words. Using a miniature netbook is challenging.

PS- wind was above 40 at exit, 15 on ground.

Best thing to do is use a round canopy.

Pull offs (that's what this jump is called) work great on rounds, and often result in nasty messes on squares, because the square often turns and dives, resulting in line twists. Not that it can't be done with a square--it just gets better results with a round.

edit to add: oh, and no need for the 36 with a round. Use a 48 if you like Smile
