dbs question
K here goes.
gonna throw my osp into a skydive container to fuck around and get a feel for it. I will mark with sharpie marker the place on my brake lines just before the stall point (just under the guide ring) which is where i assume the dbs cats eye is placed by a rigger or manufacturer correct?
My question is: is the point that i mark on my brake lines gonna be either slightly deeper or shallower when i am jumping slider off with my brake lines not routed through any rings? I.e. is a good dbs sink point on brakes (through guide rings) gonna open up in a stall when i jump slider down?

Hopefully this makes sense i hate wording things on the fuckin internet
Thank u chris

Re: [UberChris] dbs question
You still utilize the ring for opening whether it be slider down or up. I would think that it would be the same

Re: [UberChris] dbs question
what you're about to set is what i consider the SBS. therefore, to answer your question, no. when you jump slider down/off, the settings will be shallow.

to match it, you would have to make another setting higher (as in further from the toggles) to make a true DBS.

hope that helps.Smile

true, but you don't run the steering lines through the slider when down or off... typically.Tongue

my proper tunded really really deep brake setting stalls with a slider on terminal if you even look at the risers.

touche...but wouldnt it be:

he will be testing and drawing his deepest break setting while the slider has come down after a SU jump. So the only other configuration after the DBS have been made will be with the lines outside of the slider grommets. making the lines even more direct to the canopy and shallower. ID THINK

i think you'll find that you need to back off just a little bit from the stall point that you mark on your riser. It's easy to get a canopy that falls backwards on opening. To get the thing to open leaning forwards and have good controlability you'll need a little more length other wise you'll lose too much altitude in your turns.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Ill mark it just a hair shallower than normal to allow a little bit of give to prevent backwards flight.
