im looking for other pilots, base jumpers, or both to fly from los angeles, ca to twin falls. I am not ifr yet so someone with an IFR rating would be ideal. But anyone that wants to come along and share in the cost would be great. i am thinking of using a 172 rg but open to other ideas.

i have one other pilot interested in flying in a 172 to twin, looking for anyone that wants to fly to twin aug 12 to 16.

I'm not going to be there the 8/13 weekend, but I did just fly my 182 from San Jose to Twin last weekend and I've done it four other times. The only times I've gone IFR was to get in through the coastal stratus in California on my way home. You should get your IFR ticket soon anyway.

If you need to stop for fuel or weather, the lady working the Tonopah FBO was really nice. We got caught behind a line of thunderstorms I was trying to fly around and without any onboard weather and flying at night could only see lightning on two sides and restricted airspace on another so we decided to land and spend the night.

You can park for free next to the tower at TWF with fuel purchase, and the DZ is there now if you plan on skydiving. Beau at Avis rental car there is the man.

thanks, I bumped up to the 182 and we have space for 1 more if someone wants to go to twin out of socal or get picked up along the way.
