achieving seperation (paralyzed-can't "leap") on exit-ideas?
I've toyed with a few ways to do this.

all have been successful in the past, until recently i came up with a 'platform' which is portable, can be dropped on a static line after it gets line stretch (on 200f of climbing rope),,, and wont break on impact.
has wheels, (to have crew 'launch' it-as ive worked with portable sturdy platforms and these have been a pain in the ass to set up, and take down-this was the addition I wanted-something that can be 'tossed' down as well as launched forward.

anyways, i will post some photos once i get some downsized to reasonable of the platform that I built,
-wheels are from roller blades, with 6 per side, on all 4 sides).

the result,

not so good.

the launch was fine, et all,
the opening, was too soon in relation to the platform falling as well, and i think the platform intervered with my opening to the point that it could of killed me.

I WILL NEVER use this platform as it is,
and perhaps never with this concept at all.

anone have good ideas for a platform to gain seperation, that would be portable, easy to use (not much if any mounting needed in most cases-we need to save time-i take too long as it is to get up there with the cimbing gear i use for getting the paralyzed legs up, and not fck with my gear along the way, slows me down a ton-my 'crew' wont even arrive until im up close enough to launch alt. that they can safely arrive and spend as little time as possible from that moment onward.

also, this platfom, getting it down needs to be quick, easy.....

i sure ive said enough,
ask me if need more.
thanks for your thoughts, what ever they may be

no this was not for a bridge.

sorry, i should have nade that clear immediately.

The Bridge, I do elsehere,
here, we only have antenna's.
the free stander's near by, half a dozen of them....
are mostly ones which I must get greater seperation then i could by hanging (their too low to go stowed anyways).

You need to think bigger than just a platform. This is the only option that makes sense. Plus you could use it on cliffs and buildings.

I've jumped a tower that used to have a jumper installed diving board (just a plank wedged into the structure) sticking out about six feet. One night a local jumper just hauled it up there and left it there (the tower was out of service, so the only people up there were jumpers). You wouldn't have to leave it there, though.

Would some variation on that idea help?

This should get you enough separation.

What do you do for landings?!

propably.
trying it tonight to visualize how i would launch a new tower.

let you know how it worked. (i like the idea-and actually was thinking of something simpler then what i built. its too complicated and too many potential snags.... i think now i.

I'm wondering about some type of swing. Ramps and boards and rails and trolly cars... sounds like a fucking nightmare. A numatic springboard did come to mind but even with an elevater it sounds epic. If you had some type of platform or overhang extending out it seems you could run two lines like for a swing set. I can see them pushing you off from a rung about twenty feet bellow the platform. You swing out and back. Push. Push. Push. Just like in the play ground. When your ready just as you pass through vertical and your forwards momentum is at it's highest you lean forwards out of the swing. Actually it sounds like a lot of fun to me. But my point is that it's something that you could actually carry up an antina. I know of lots of a's with ten foot platforms at over 1000 ft with nice wide structures with room for you and two pushers easy. Hell do it on one with a big thirty foot arbor sticking out from the top and you'll vertually fly away from the tower.

interesting idea RiggerLee.

reminds me of having the guys grab me by arms and legs and tossing me out the skyvan...

anyways, i thought to toss up a photo of just the type of location that I need platform that is easy to remove asap (preferrably just after my jump-thus the thought of having my platform on its own static line, and 200f of cord to let it fall before break line lets it go the rest of the way, so it wont break on the ground.
id like to be able to keep it if its something that took time to build, and design.
