Hello,
We are sourcing some professionally shot HD footage of a legal BASE jump from a building. Can be anywhere in the world. We are looking to purchase suitable footage to use as stock footage in a television commercial. Ideally something that has been shot from a static camera position as the jumper leaps off the building ledge. Professionals license stock footage, they do not sell it. If you are looking to "Purchase" footage than you are probably seeking people who don't know what they are doing and you want to pay jack-shit for said footage.

Actually, you "purchase" a "license" for the content. Why not just point her in the right direction instead of assuming they are looking to get it for free? It is a good thing the BASE community has "Guardians of the Gates" like you to make all of us look like A-Holes.

That being said, there probably isn't much footage available, as they probably need broadcast quality hd, shot from a tripod of a buidling jump in the daytime, not handheld cx100 garbage...

    Douchekiller your my hero! I can only aspire to one day be as intelligent and articulate as you! Just to clarify: I am a professional photographer/videographer and I couldn't give 2 shits about "guarding the BASE community." The BASE community does a fine job of fucking it all up and generally looking like assholes without any help from me.
Avenfoto, I did not contact them as I do not have any stock footage of legal building jumps but I did direct them in the right direction. If they had done any research at all it is not hard to find professional stock footage via both Aerial Focus and Joe Jennings. They are both listed in the industry sourcebooks and are generally the only 2 companies listed under parachuting/stunts. However, they are also PROFESSIONALS which means that they will charge the true and full usage value and these production companies know that. If they are sourcing footage from a worthless internet forum that has people with usernames like "douchekiller." and on top of that they are using terms like purchasing footage than I can only imagine that they don't have much of a budget and/or are just trying to find some cheap footage. That's all.
