Container for Round Water Rig
I just picked up a Preserve 3 24' round to use for water jumps. Now I'm in the process of trying to find an container to put it in. I'm curious what size container I need to appropriately accommodate this canopy. From what I can find its got a pack volume of about 384 cubic inches. I'm not sure how that correlates to the containers that are out there now. Anybody thats built a similar rig want to chime in? Thanks in advance.

Re: [jack79] Container for Round Water Rig
hi Jack.

I use a Perigee Pro sized for a 190, and it fits a Phantom24ft a bit loose. In reality you can get away with using a velcro rig made for a 180-220, as those compress a lot better (run the flaps closer to the center of the shrivel. I have never tried, but I am betting even a 240 sized container may work.

of course you can just have a custom rig done as well :)

Re: [vid666] Container for Round Water Rig
Thanks bro. If I was in the market for custom made gear, I would have bought one of Apex's H2O rounds for $600-, rather than pick up a 1982 Preserve 3 from you. Wink I'm kind of nervous about being able to find a rig that will fit someone my size (6' and 180) with a container to fit a 190 since it would be rare that someone my size would base jump a 190. Anyone have thoughts? Thanks.

Just pack it in your normally used container . put the round on risers and then take your square off. and put it on .
take the L-bars off the round and put it on regular4-link regular risers . If there is a diaper cut it off also . if there is break-lines cut them off too . Just turn the round ( front-side forward ) with mesh panels in the back . 10-lines on the left side & 10-lines on the right side . Flake it out and accordion pack it in the container to file the tray the best it will do . With taking some line groups up as you go with rubber bands & with stowing the lines on the bottom of the tray . & then GO Jump It .
