Basejumper.com - archive

A good friend of mine was killed yesterday in Norway Base jumping, does anyone have any information on how this occured? I dont base jump myself, just skydive, in NZ its a small skydiving community and we are all deeply shocked by the loss of a great guy, any information would be truely appreciated.

I understand it to be a ground launching incident not a BASE related incident...

I separated this into it's own thread. Mixing 2, unrelated fatalities seems incredibly inappropriate.

Since few believe this is a BASE fatality, this whole thread might be on the wrong website!

it is not a base related fatality it was groundlaunching a skydive canopy..

seems reasonable.
