GoPro "Narwhal" mount
I have whipped up a few of the mounts used in the GoPro BASE jumping video circulating youtube. See below for what I'm talking about:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNkMhJNWaXo

We will be offering two lengths. One is 4"-8", the other is 6"-12". Cost will be $30 for the short version and $35 for the longer version, plus shipping.

You are able to use your standard gopro helmet attachement (either the sticky type or strap mount) and the camera simply bolts on using the provided screws.

This is the exact same mount I used in the video. You can also wear it backwards for some sweet, elevated reverse camera angles.

I'll post additional photos of the mount and sample shots over the weekend.

PM me if you are interested. They will be available on a first come first served basis.

Just don't look up at your parachute while it's opening.....your descending slider could entangle with your camera. It's cool to see these shots, as the video quality has improved recently. Ten years ago, my "rhinocam" had a lipstick cam attached to the end and it was scary long at 3-4' from my helmet.

Re: [dhracer33] GoPro "Narwhal" mount
Wanted to recomend for people using these mounts... when used in the BASE environment, with our hard and quick openings... It is a good idea to use some sort of support under the front arm, a few inches out from where the arm connects to the helmet. This allows the arm to rest on the "support" instead of having all the force be held by the helmet mount connection. I used two gopro stick mounts stuck together, slid under the arm, and then held in place with a piece of tape.

For other uses such as skiing I never needed to use the support and didn't have any issues.

I can post a photo if this doesn't make sense.

just got the second batch of shorties ready to ship out. first bunch went quick. watch this video for another example of what you can do with this mount. no, it's not jumping but entertaining none the less.
