Thinking of picking up a new base canopy, to pack in a skydiving rig for shooting accuracy. I probably won't base much more in the future. But, I like shooting accuracy on a skydive. I don't want a small zp skydiving rag, I like to come in steep and slow. Any ideas on what I might consider?

Jalbert Parafoil should be plenty slow enough for you.

If you're set on new canopy, I would suggest a Seven. It's designed with a deep braked approach in mind. It flat turns extremely well and will land well from the same approach.

It's fairly sporty if you let it fly so it will get you back from a long spot before you shut it down and sink it in.

Another thing to consider is the pack volume is pretty low and it's very easy to pack.

Or you could go for the feather, the lightweight version of the seven. You can pack a 260 into a container made for a 150...

Any canopy you put me under will dead center the target every time. Just sayn.

I have a feather 260, flik 266 and rock dragon 266...

While all base canopies are good accuracy canopies, the feather is not the one I would choose for the competition... I'd choose the rock dragon. Wish I had some jumps on an OSP to try it....

However, for the swoop comp on base canopies, it'd ( the feather) be my 1st choice of those 3.
