Re: [TizzyLishNinja] Eiffel Tower Jump?
since he failed to stick the landing, I bet someone in a wingsuit could do just as well!

Probably I'm just showing my inexperience with inline skates, but this seems pretty underwhelming, particularly since he didn't stick the landing. I mean, jumping from 40m is pretty awesome -- if you're landing 40m down. If you're landing on a stage 39m down, it's somewhat less impressive, and I think the gigantic halfpipe here goes a long way to making this more like the 1m jump than the 40m...

This did a lot more to put my heart in my throat.

"Ya' that was pretty BadAss building bike jump and landing . That one will be a record holding stunt for a while . Red Bull gave the crowd there money's worth on that one. That was a good stunt and show .
this Eiffel Tower inline skate drop was pretty lame , but Red Bull still got there Logo plastered all over the place. So that all that ' Really Matters ' when you are bastardizing a national monument on roller blades.

Clearly none of you have ever poped into vertTongue
Considering your allways lecturing people on "SKILLS"
I thought you would have a grasp...hahaha

Re: [mwl88] Eiffel Tower Jump?
No lecture but word 'skills' must be spelled like, ( Skillzz's )
Not sticking your landing. This stunt is similar but '10x More Lame' than the Evil Knievel, Grand Canyon jump is clearly historically better than this pile of athletic red bull poop. If you are going 'into Vert.' and Not 'Stick Your Landing' on your over hyped stunt. At least Evil Crashed and slid down the Canyon wall under a inflated Canopy and lived but was @ least bleeding and bruised for the crowd.
It took me a while to use my Google-Fu on finding the Lame Def. of ...'Popped into Vert.' .
A promoted advertisement of Red Bull Aerial stunts and maneuvers that are executed when a skater drops into a not-so impressive half pipe structure that is vertical at the top. They use the Mad Skillzz's structure that Red Bull Duck Taped to the bottom of the Eiffel Tower to build speed as they jump off a platform above the half pipe structure in a Non-Death Defying Lame roller blade stunt that they don't stick the landing on and slide on there knees down to the bottom and into foam padding .

It's a sad, sad day when we set the bar on inline skating stunts based on whether or not I could do it. Smile

Im not condoning roller blading, I'd just like to point that outLaugh I'm into skateboarding, Plus if it were a skateboarder he would have of given it another go, Or at least of broke an arm for the crowds amusement.

Poped into vert? Is that a Catholic thing?

Re: [hookitt] Eiffel Tower Jump?
I Wish! no, drop in is from the coping - pop in from the platform.

@RayLosli - Duly noted the correct spelling of "skillz"
Cool

Lets just say I was doing rock-n-rolls and ollies before they had names. I think my brother and I are the only ones around that can still do 360s and hand stands. Tongue

the only major thing at play here is the amount of g forces (i think that is the right term) on his body when he hits the curve of the pipe, the force would have to be great, so im not surprised that he didnt land it perfectly. and im still confused on what the point of the entire "stunt" was

I think the guy explained the point in the video. Once you've demonstrated that it's possible to slide on your knees down a half pipe, you've pretty much shown that there are no limits to human accomplishment. This is big. Moon shot big. Red letter day.
