Highly recomended reading!
I read this book- http://www.deepsurvival.com/ Not to long ago and was riveted.
Any body thinking of getting into BASE should read this, personally I will require anyone that mentors w/ me to read it.
And for experienced jumpers, no matter how long you have been in the sport, this book has pertinent info!

You still need to loan me this, and will you also be my mentor?

I find it odd, that most people here will learn survival and first aid from a book, when they all stress real life experience. Every other aspect of the jump is important, but first aid, that's a moot point. Sorry, I mean no offensive. Just an observation.

Re: [kellyface272] Highly recomended reading!
This is not a survival and first aid book. It is about the psycology and actions of people who survive in situations and the differences between them and the people that don't.
Most BASE accidents are directly related to the choices the jumper makes before and during the jump. I hope that more jumpers will read this book and become more aware of themselves and their motivations. It will prevent a lot of needless accidents...

And yes Hjjumper, I will mentor you. You will pay me lots of money, and you are buying the mushrooms and space hookers..
