It's sort of surprising that Doug gets so much hate on this forum.

He knew what he liked/wanted and he did it. Okay, he pushed it too far, but BASE isn't exactly the most legal or socially acceptable sport in the world either.

I expect that most people here wouldn't stand for people telling them what not to do.

And so in the reaction to that aspect of Doug's story, I see a good deal of hypocrisy around here.

I think there is a line with anything, and in this case I think that line was drawn at animal mutilation and rape.

Although... Animals can't really say 'no'.

It's not even just that he did what he likes, he didn't just wake up with his dog in the bed and offer to make it coffee in the morning. He made a business out of letting other people do it too.

Though you're right, a lot of the people here probably don't care about the abuse part, which would make them hypocrites. Since without the abuse factor he was just using a less conventional way to rub one out.

dDog has been fairly open about it all. his name has popped up fairly frequently. his website was very open about his preferences. this is the first time I've read such outrage. (and none of it for drug trafficing.)
