I worked for a small (100+ employees) manufacturing firm. they provided health insurance, but were "self-insured."
after I was hired, they changed an exclusionary clause to prevent paying for injuries related to high risk sporting activities, including skydiving. (I do not know what would have happened had they known I also BASE jumped...)
it's not hard to find an activity frowned upon by the general population, including BASE. mentioning one might not help you in an interview, during the initial probationary period, security review (if required), or even as a candidate for promotion.
just another good reason to start with skydiving and see if a company will tolerate THAT. heck, what happens if you re-injure that bad knee just learning to skydive?
I really encourage you to focus on A, then B, then C, etc. it seems like you want to skip ahead to P.
