I've known Marah for all of the five years she has engaged herself in this endeavor. She is the real thing, trust me.

Marah has secured the movie rights to all of Carl Boenish's footage from the very beginning, but much more, tons of footage to showcase the entire history of BASE jumping from its humble beginnings up to the incredible stuff you guys are doing today.

GRAVITY will be the first BASE documentary feature film to be shown in the theater. Her five-year effort is 100% legitimate, and will bring BASE jumping to the forefront in a positive light.

Now that the oscar-winning director, Alex Gibney, is on board with the project, GRAVITY is especially sure to make it big time if we can help to get it off the ground.

Let's dig in and get behind her as much as we can. If every BASE jumper would send her just the cost of a couple of sky dives, I'm sure it would be a great boost to the project, and in my opinion, to the sport.

I remember watching that backflip off the NRGB in'83. Jumper was Bill Cole from Ft. Bragg. I got my first BASE jump a few minutes later.

why dont we have a paypal account on here from the base jumpers...then we can see what we are actually giving from the ones in the sport...

Great idea. I had already planned to suggest a PayPal account to Marah just to make it easier to donate, but your reason is better yet. I have a call into her, but she hasn't called me back yet. I'll call her again tomorrow. It would be very cool to see a good showing from the BASE community.

By the way, she mentions a possible equity deal for someone who has tons of money and needs a good investment opportunity. My son Brian works in the movie/television industry and has a possible equity investor deal working. I have only one small thing stopping me or I would do it myself.

i can see the money i donated, because it came out of my account.

i don't care where the money comes from, i just want to see this thing finished.

one thing to consider - if the kickstarter deal doesn't hit 10K, it won't actually go through. so if all of us donate to paypal instead of kickstarter and it doesn't hit 10k, then the non-BASE donations may not ever make it to the project (since they won't know about the paypal account).

also, the kickstarter gig seems like a good incentive for people to donate because they can donate cash that they had already planned on spending for gear and still get the gear (i.e. to get a rig from Morpheus, or a wingsuit from Phoenix Fly) while the project gets the funds.

if you want to track BASE people contributions, maybe you could just put BASE in front of your name when you sign up or something and ask Marah to add it all up in the end...
