I got a bunch of patches on my Black Jack. one on the ZP section about 60cm x 60cm, one is on an internal rib, two on the stabilizer. only one patch was made by me though

I had partial panel replacements done on my Mojo and put over 100 jumps on it afterwards, never had a problem. -=Raistlin

I ran a poll awhile back, so seems like half of people who voted have patched canopies http://www.basejumper.com/...rum.cgi?post=2918622
I have more jumps on patches canopies than on non-patched.
My primary canopy has a quater panel replacement on the endcell topskin by the nose. and a 4x6 patch by the tail as well as having replaced my lower steering lines.
Anyone who thinks that a patched BASE canopy is black death needs to harden the fuck up or go back to the dropzone !

I think all of my jumps since my FJC were on a canopy with at least one patch. Actually my sky canopy and base canopy both have a patch in about the same spot on the tail.

One of my rigs has a patch...my son was jumping it and forgot to remove a packing clamp.

I got one tree landing with my new canopy and got like 12 patches and jumped again without problems. Same canopy I landed on güisaches (small trees with huge thorns) and cacti north Mexico and got another 5 or 6 patches!! jajajaja and still jumping without problems.. +140 jumps since first bad landing.. My canopy has very high quality patches of substantial size. On landing my canopy draped over some tall bushes. Unfortunately I didn't notice it also draped over some of the razor wire from the fence next to it. The patches are perfect because I was lazy and hired Martin Tilley to fix it for me.

I think i counted 8 patches on my FLiK. The tail being the biggest patch. I fucking love my FLiK but i have retired her due packing one day, wrapping the centre of the nose and pushing my finger through the material. The old girl served me well for over 100 jumps and i put none of the patches on her so she was already beat up when i got her.

80 odd jumps on a patched mojo, near the nose of a cell adjacent to the centre. Was there when I got the canopy, no issues as yet.

Patches = character. Every time I pack and see the big patch on the tail I remember the time I went swimming in a lake with a wingsuit on instead of landing in a tree.
I got caught up in some rocks and shit on the shoreline and ripped it on the way out. Probably 130 jumps with patches on a Flik and no problems if they are done right.

I had a 180 at the Euromast during X-days a few years back and got hung-up/wrapped around the rappel ropes (those who were there remember quite well). Robert (RIP) did a mighty fine job repairing holes and broken lines. The tarp opened and flew as normal.
