Re: [95389] Fox Canopy control line length.for 265 unvented
Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I think what you're asking is how far should the toggle be from the tail of the canopy, right? If so, there is no fixed length that will work for everyone, but it is a simple task to figure out where the toggle should be put. line length should be the shortest possible that you can still acheive full flight from your canopy with your hands all the way up. If the lines are too short, you won't be achieving full flight even when your hands are all the way up, which will result in reduced flare power. If your lines are too long, you will be achieving full flight, but your turns will be slower since you will have to pull some slack out of the lines before you starting pulling down your trailing edge.
I would also like to say that the fox, although a great canopy in my opinion, turns slower and has a weaker flare than any other base canopy I've flown (BJ, troll, raven).
Also remember, the ideal toggle setting is going to be slightly different between jumping slider up and slider down. I have to move my toggles down the lines a little when I jump SU.
