What does NFF mean?

NFF/AFF-almost the same. Accelerated/Normal freefall learning course in skydiving

Oh.... well..... in that case, none of the above.

Try doing a search for each of the canopies you listed. I think if you read all or most of them you will find the answer to your questions.

Here is a link to the Triathlon...clicky

Do some more searches and read them all. And the next time you have a question, do a search on it also, you may be surprised at how many times the same question is asked and answered.

Re: [gauleyguide] Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
I did my research. And if you read the question-the canopies are for training WHILE doing skydive-that means-canopy control-means CRW-means triathlon or storm. The dragon is taken into equation ,because its also 7-cell and the shipping will be cheaper.(im in europe)
In one word-I didn`t ask if they are suited for BASE(they aren`t,though teoretically can be used for terminals),but for canopy control trainings in skydive, like 180,flat turns etc.
Don`t want to spoil the skydive `fun` altogether using BASE main prematurely.
Hope you meant good with answers.
And still looking for answers.
Good night
Edit:i know those are quiet different from the real thing.
Additional Qs:is ZPs Really behave that differently?
Also-i didn`t find info on storm anywhere/

Re: Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
The whole point is-student rig is too big for me,even by base means.(62 kg) Otherwise I wouldn`t be asking stupid questions and be flying that for few hundreds jumps.
Now I`m really off to sleep..

Re: [grezeh] Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
so many people look to discover "the best..."
<sigh>

there is no such thing. throw a dart, get one, and enjoy whatever you do with it.

personally, it is a great question to ask of those with whom you will jump. if your local CReW dogs think one is better than the other, go for it. or discuss the canopy drills with your instructor. see if he/she has a strong opinion. remember, these are the people you will be leaning on, show them respect, and make it easy for them to help you.

also, unless you have excessive amounts of money, I always suggest you buy used gear. most people outgrow their first rig fairly quickly anyway. so why not check out what's available, and just get the best deal?

Re: [wwarped] Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
..not the best ,but optimal..
Sadly, used gear is almost exclusively 9-cell ellipses =/
I should definately talk with the CReW,thanks for the input!)

Re: [grezeh] Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
You could probably pick up an old Raven reserve pretty cheap. They perform very similar to BASE canopies.

Re: [grezeh] Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
Or buy a Se7en from Asylum Designs. A 260 (great average sized guy canopy) that can be packed into a 150 sqft deployment bag. And then when you are ready to BASE jump you already have a canopy and you can then get a smaller skydiving 9 cell (which can be super fun too) for your airplane fun, and a container for fixed freefall.

Re:Dragon/Triathlon hybrid/Storm?
Reserve is a nice thought. And size comparison of mains is valid/interesting.
I got enough food-for-thought for now.Back to drawing board)

Any seven cell will get you close enough. I put about 100 jumps on a triathlon, and it was the perfect transition into base canopies for me. But whatever you do, just enjoy the journey in getting there. Good luck, and stay safe. - Jordan
