I voted NEVER.

I was told there is a chance of a tailgate
getting snagged in the mesh of a slider.

However, I do use a pinch of blue painters
tape on the red lines for slider up jumps.

Reason: it's an almost free way of reducing
the chance of a line-over plus I do not have
WLO toggles.

I use one...but have repeatedly been heckled for doing such. Screw everybody...it takes five seconds and its already on my damn line.

I have always used tape, slider up and down. Don't remember the last time I actually used a "tailgate". So far so good... You're mad, though.

thanks for the replies its just that last year i was jumping with a very experienced jumper with 1600 jumps and everytime he would be using it...

base 1366 thanks for the input mate-i told him that line as well and he commented that with the amount of force on a terminal jump it would definately open the tailgate.
