McConkey from a 145ft A?
Anyone have any advice on doing a McConkey from a 145ft A? I have done one from a 175ft S with enough time for a nice landing, and then played around with pulling some tension on the rear risers while rotating over the canopy. That seemed to diminish the pendulum effects that I was getting on a normal rollover, and gave me a much slower setup for landing. But 145 seems a bit more serious. Anyone done many jumps like this? Just trying to get McConkey BASE, and Kenya doesn't have many big A's to play with.
Thanks,

I once did one from a 150 ft water tower. The landing area was clear, grassy, and sloped gently away from the tower. I was able to unstow my toggles and land fine. I have no intention of doing that again, but I'm not a huge fan of the ultra low stuff to begin with. Good luck!

Just consider heading performance on that mcconkey.

I tend to consider heading performance on every jump. :)

I too want un-packed BASE Cool
Only object left for me is an E.

I think a Smart-TARD would be
a better choice than a rollover.

Theoretically you would open a
smidge higher, if executed well.

Yeah, would be higher. I've just always had better heading performance with rollovers than tards. The other thing on this A is the exit point. It's sketchy and small enough that trying to keep a smart tard together would be a bit of a challenge. Good luck on your E! My first unpacked jump was a mcconkey off mary's gash. :)
