This month was the second issue I have read. I think I would actually like to read Parashitiest w/o pictures compared to this mag. BRING BACK SKYDIVING!!!

Anyways in this issue was an article named : "Facebook, Dudiest and BASE jumpers: A tale of two skydivers." By Karen Woolem.

After calming my nerves about reading the BLATANT day after day after day of DAY BLAZING at B**** Bridge, I tried to read the "article". The article is poorly written, choppy at best, butchered attempt IMO. If Blue Skies supports DAY BLAZING OUT OF TOWNERS to a pristine jump, fuck this mag. But I have a feeling they will go down in flames sooner than later. I actually wouldnt care if they wasted more paper IF they took BASE out. Actually no, I like trees better. Down with Blue Skies!

I agree with you. Last year, I was excited that a Skydiving Mag replacement had stepped forward and I'd be able to continue reading about BASE jumping each month. But Blue Skies Mag appears to be more concerned with printing what their readers posted on a Facebook page than publishing real BASE, skydiving, and paragliding articles.

I realize that Blue Skies Mag wants to march to the beat of their own drum, but I'd prefer a magazine that borrows some of Skydiving Magazine's successes. I won't be renewing my subscription to Blue Skies Mag unless they can focus more on parachuting and less on reprinting the internet.

Only issue of the mag I have read was the
free copy in my swag bag at Bridge Day...
however in that version I think they called
a bridge a 'B'.

I know Kolla from PD and Palatka and she
is a very cool lady and real solid jumper.

are the locals offended? while the article might suck, I think I'd be more annoyed at the jumper who showed them the site.

There's drama everywhere, give me a break. There's a hell of a lot more jumping going on that that location that no one hears about.

I don't have a subscription to the mag, I have my suspicions, but I don't know who the jumper or jumpers are.

I was a more than a little upset yesterday, and I have calmed a little.

1. The author is probably a fantastic person, and a fun person to jump with. She is a SKYDIVER through and through. Not a BASE jumper at this point (not sure of her intentions. Maybe some fundamental writing courses to make her writing flow easier, amongst other things, could help.

2. The jumper. Come the FUCK on man. Are you an idiot?! Yes that is a DAY time jump. It is simply a matter of discretion. Sunrise. A one off here and there with no tourists or traffic flow then leave. But to jump and jump and jump like a teenager with his first penthouse, learn to control yourself when your playing out of town. And then to have it published? Please be more considerate.

3. Blue Skies. Your magazine is young, if you want it to get older I suggest finding some writers with a trained writing background. Pictures are the reason I even bother to look at Parachutist, please dont make another mag the same. good luck.
