I'm going to be in New Zealand for two weeks in November. I'm flying into Auckland, but will probably spend most of my time on the South island. Would love to find someone experienced to BASE with. I've been skydiving for 6 years (585 jumps), but haven't ever BASE jumped. Looking for someone to show me the ropes and rent me the proper gear. Definitely willing to pay for the experience. Anyone know any good contacts that might be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks.

  You might want to look into doing a FJC at the Perrine bridge to get yourself started.

I didn't have any luck meeting any base jumpers when I went to NZ this christmas.It sounds like there's a few people jumping there, and i might have found them if I wasn't busy chasing tail. I think you have to know people that know people because it's not like there's a bunch of big signs saying come base jump.
