hello,

i tried to upgrade my gopro hd by the following steps found on the official gopro website:

8. Press the power button and release

9. Then quickly press and hold the power button and shutter buttons simultaneously before the LCD screen powers on

10. Continue holding both the power and shutter button until the red light begins to flash quickly

11. Once the red light begins to flash quickly, you can release both buttons. The camera's red light will continue to flash, which indicates that the firmware is loading into the camera's memory (this will take 5-10 seconds). The LCD screen will remain powered off during the firmware upload

so far, but the LCD never switches off and the firmware does not upload.

after pressing power/shutter button simultaneously i always end up in the camera mode!

(got some funny footage of me starring angry into the lens)

can someone give a hint how to start this upgrade?

There isn't any new firmware out for the GoPro HD yet. It is not working because you are trying to install the firmware upgrade for the old standard definition GoPro. Hopefully they will release the HD firmware soon.

Thanks for the info, I experienced the same problem, tried couple of times and then gave up and had to edit/rotate 180' my stills and video. Now I see...
Will wait
