I just read the facebook had more hits then google lately.

Being on facebook, I see more posts about base there then on bjdotcom. Of course, all my friends are basejumpers , but still. Sign of the times I guess.

You're less likely to have someone from NPS checking out your info on facebook than on BJdotcom...except if you friend them, I suppose.

I was thinking about Basejumper FB page also-but is not gonna be a world wide forum.

I think a BJ.com facebook page could be a little bit of an issue.

everyone complains about the n00b muppetmuncher not doing any work to get info on learning to BASE, facebook would make that problem TEN FOLD worse. I promise.

The facebook page thing is tricky issue. If one does create one on a site without millions of posts, like a small community like BJ, the problem is people migrate from the actual site to the FB page and you end up losing the quality of the main site.

I've been involved with the online promotion of a site through facebook and it generates a lot of traffic to the site, but as for the forums- since it's easier for people to make posts on facebook they just use the FB discussion board and the site forums become less active, which is obviously a bad thing..

And with that... my eyes are seeing my surroundings like I'm looking through a circular fisheye lens- which I'm sure isn't healthy so I'm out.
