Montana Base Jumping
Hey guys, I just created an account about 5 minutes ago and was wondering if anyone knew any locations in Montana to base. By these locations, I primarily mean natural places (cliffs, etc...). Not sure if there are many people registered on here from Montana or know about it, but any info would be great. Thanks

FWIW...

we encourage people to lurk, search, and read before posting.

as I don't recall seeing anything on Montana, you probably still need to ask the question.

BUT, you might have noticed that when a new user posts, they frequently get treated harshly. there is a clearly recognized standard BASE progression. if people follow it, then most of these "secondary" questions get answered, they meet the "right" people, etc.

as it stands, we have little clue if you are an experienced jumper, a wannabee jumper, a member of law enforcement, a curious whuffo, someone who might have a viable property looking for jumpers, an over-eager 15 year old that will insist on jumping, etc.

Agreed, I did join only a day ago. I do agree with your first point made, that there is a BASE progression and it takes a sense of "internet" trust before questions can be answered.
In reality though, my profile could be made of 15,000 jumps with 30 years of experience, all of which is very hypothetical. I've been jumping for quite some time now, all of which doesn't matter, was just curious if there is any of these "right" people who might just want to help a guy out.

Well since everybody pretty much knows everybody here, or at least knows them by reputation...

Why don't you tell us who you are or some of the people you've jumped with?

If you've been jumping for "quite a while," you'd probably know who to ask for this information. Or, you'd be able to ask a couple friends and they would know who to ask.

If you don't have any idea who to ask...? This community, while growing everyday, is a lot smaller than you probably realize.

OO OO I have heard of this Montana place, even went there once, didnt see 1 natural cliff anywhere. Natural B,A,S all over the place but again nobody seemed to have ever heard of parachutes!
Hypothetically Mrs Riso you have more jumps than anybody in the world of basehopping!! Jebus is sure to be way jealous of you.
Congratulations.
BTW these arseholes on this site are not the "right" people for you.
Come to Norway with Mrs MacCuddly and me. Sure we can sort ya out Wink

doubt there's more than 2 degrees of separation between jumpers in this country - everyone knows someone who knows someone else.

Your profile doesn't matter.

Nearly any one who'll risk (most of us don't like seeing people hurt or having objects burned) taking you to local objects knows some one you jump with, or at least some one who knows some one who can vouch for you.

Could you elaborate on the "etc..." part? Of the four objects one can jump from in B.A.S.E., the "E" would be the ONLY one of the four that would be "natural". So my question I guess is, what other objects can you jump that are "natural" besides an"E"?

Thank you for your time, your cooperation is appreciated.
