Norwegian Winter Jumps
I have recently moved from Grassic-Gibbon, Scotland to Romsdalen Norway. I was wondering if there are any BASE jumpers in Norway? There aren't any obvious spots where I live but last weekend I visited a ski resort near Aurland and saw a massive cliff. My GPS told me the area is called Flåm, which is a Norwegian name a local told me. There looked to be no way up the behemoth, but I'd estimate this thing at easily 8000ft, making it the biggest cliff in the world. If anyone would like to make an expedition to Norway, I would be willing to lead the way to this monster, with a view to taming it. I imagine we would need boots and a head torch. Each.

Dear Mr. Cuddly,
I am keenly interested in your expedition. In addition to the torches, whyski and boots, do you think I should bring anything else?
What if the snow face proves to be too shear? Should I bring iron pitons?

I have been having a difficult time finding out a similar answer... maybe you could post it somewhere for me to get answered?
The question was... Are there any hockey players in Canada?

thanks for your help Smile

Dear Mr/Mrs MacCuddly,
As my life ambition now is to try to be as cool as Jebus i feel this expedition is deffinently about me. I have no experience at assulting behemoth mountains this high or big but im not scared of anything except my mum, getting a stick in my ear and rupturing my eardrum and snow snakes. I have a vector with Sabre, i relise after studying other blogs not ideal but sounds like it´ll be good enough. I have a torch but needs batterys, do you have 6xD size i can borrow for the trip? And gaff tape to make head torch. Could you recommend what size boots i need, my feet are only small. This is so exciting for me!!! O what size bridle and pirate chute do i need?

Easy tiger. I may be leading this expedition since it was my idea, but I am no mountain person. I think climbing gear might prove to be heavy, let's stick to my original gear list.

Re: [Dunny] Norwegian Winter Jumps
Mrs Dunny. Your excitement is a much needed attribute for this BASE climb. Before you commit, I can warn you there are definitely trees on the lower portions of the climb, and hence twigs of a stabby nature. Re gear, your parachuting equipment is unfamiliar to me. I will be jumping a PDF Ninja and a paracomander reserve. You make your own decisions, but I would advise spring loaded PILOT chutes as you will probably want it/them to come out fast. Size 7 women's boots fit most girls, I have a pair of hi-top converse my last girlfriend left behind that I can sell you or trade.
I hope you are as serious as I am about making this work.

No need to be an arsehole Mr Machine, I am quite aware of my interlectual inadiquacies but i can smell sarcasm when i see it. We dont all have access to the Florida marching powder to assist with your quick witted reponses. As Jebus may have once said "I may not be smart but check me out, see I am cool look, look at me everyone"
Take it light? You better be jumping a Feather buddy.

O i am serious Mr/Mrs MacCuddly seeUnimpressed I am as serious as Jebus publisising himself as a self confessed tard to a worldwide audience.
I think my vectar has a spring pirate chute but i dont know if its big enough for a 8000m jump. Now im getting a bit nervous so i may just go hand held if thats ok with you, or 2hands held to compress the spring. What do you want as trade for the boots? I would feel really guilty after i went in if i still owed you something. Is there any chance them high nose guys can remove the trees in question? So many questions see i am as excited as Jebus proxy flying 100´off Materhorn!

I note a highly strung nature in you Mrs Dunny. Are you sure you want to attempt an alpine BASE jump?

Re: [MacGilly-Cuddy] Norwegian Winter Jumps
I am cool Mr/Mrs MacCuddly see Unimpressed I am as cool as a frozen cucumber at a TBA lingere party. I only started this highly strung attitude after watching repeated scenes of Jebus displaying his super cool highly strung "I am da maaan" ways. Its the future for base jumping in the media. I really want to try this alpine base stuff. Will it be cold? Should mom knit a cardigan for me? Can she come and watch?

Re: [Dunny] Norwegian Winter Jumps
I'm a bit concerned with your Jesus complex.
But as far as warmth goes, I was planning on using home made jumpers or killing one of the pack horses to sleep inside. 1 horse per night, 2 on cold nights.

Re: [MacGilly-Cuddy] Norwegian Winter Jumps
I have no complex with Jesus in fact i have never had any communication with Jesus. I simply aspire to be better than the king of base jumping. I am led to believe his title is Jebus. He is the best and there is not even any human alive that is a close second place to Jebus. At first when the world wide media force fed me with Jebus i was sceptical i admit. But now i have seen the light(thanks Mr Machine) with your help Mr/Mrs MacCuddly i too can be the best. Now lets kill some horses, lets knit some home made jumpers or cardigans, lets get out there Mr/Mrs MacCuddly and DO THIS. Lets do this for me, lets do this for you, lets do this for my mom!!
