Looking for old Base picture
There is in my opinion one of the best Base pictures ever of a building jump which I think was done in Houston? It is a fairly popular picture with the guy wearing a baggy jump suit and i'm pretty sure it can be seen in the book ground rush? But I've seen it else where as well.

Can anyone tell me where to find it online?
thanks!

There's a reason that you can't find it online.

Unfortunately this is the best I can do for you for now.

Phil Smith (BASE 1) - first building Jump co-organized by Carl and Jean Boenish. Photo taken by Phil Mayfield (BASE 2).

Photo taken and rotated from some pics of that era posted by 460 in the Photo's section of this website.

Smitty & Mayfield are the most fukn ballzy fuckers EVER.. LEGENDZZZ!!!

Re: [GaryP] Looking for old Base picture
I have the full size version that I need to scan in.

The video of this jump is a phenomenon. It's in the film BASE 1 by Carl Boenish. Carl's footage was extremely good because of the lengths he went to get his shots, as well as his artistic vision. He rented helicopters for camera footage too. Jumpers wore heavy high speed movie cameras on their heads that took 100 frames per second.

That building was known as the Texas Commerce Building. It's 1003 feet tall and located in Houston. It's now known as the Chase Tower. At the time, it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi, prior to the erection of the Library tower in L.A.
