Riser Configuration
Ok guys, this is my first post, so here it goes.

I'm doing some preliminary rigging for a rig i'm piecing together, and don't know the standard for the configuration of the risers (if there is one at all). I have tried to call my mentor and other BASE contacts, but know luck this afternoon, hence the post on the internet.

My question is, should the cat's eye and excess brake line be stowed on the inside or outside of the riser? I'm just trying to connect the risers on there correct side.

Re: [Ajunkie] Riser Configuration
I always stow mine with excess line stowed to the INSIDE. This way when you are grabbing your toggles (from the outside in), the first and only thing you should touch is your toggle.

Thats the way I learned, but some people may have other opinions.

That what I was thinking, thats what I was taught while a student in skydiving, but since don't worry about it as I don't think it makes a big deal in that sport vs. BASE jumping. My Infinity, I stow wherever due to riser covers and my Javelin I stow on the outside, so that it sits toward to bottom when packed (I've had a toggle fire in free fall, so pay attention to that most of the time).

That makes sense, grabbing toggle first and not excess stow, check!

it will work either way, however..

"lines to the inside, material to the outside".

As a matter of habit I always keep the brake lines on the inside, and the excess on the outside. With the way the CR excess keeper works it's impossible to grab the excess steering line.

  lines= inside
toogle = outside

Re: [almeida] Riser Configuration
agree.. lines inside.., toggle outside.. no mistakes by grabbing and no friction on the lines at the deployment (especially sd jumps), what prevents the lost of a toggle.
