Anyone out there using one or tried using one, how'd they go ? (I thought I heard of some being used in Europe awhile back )

I wonder how nicely do those ZP canopies freepack ?

my thinking is that the semi-eliptical nature of the spectre would make for some really interesting (as in bad, unpredictable, deadly) openings, not to mention the previously mentioned point about packing...hoo boy!! line over city!

 Someone jumped a Stiletto so it's probably been done. It's not the best idea and you do get to rely a lot more on luck.

I've seen TARDs performed with some fairly ridiculous skydiving canopies using a BASE rig as a back up.

whoever would jump a stiletto is a retard. Whoever would jump it multiple times for badass downwind river swoops must be ultra cool. Spectre openings with a slider are like 600 feet, id jump a sabre1 way before id think about a spectre.

jus use a smaller 7 cell BASE tarp with an all ZP top if you so need, doesnt' Apex make a 160 ish flik?

Well... the Spectre is well know for the long snivel on openings... it would be nice to see it on a BASE jump opening...

Stilettos, Sabres you name it, it have been jumped. There is so many canopies to jump, and they have for sure been jumped at least once in BASE, because they did not have anything else at the moment. I have jumped many canopies, but if I was going today, there is just some few of them I would jump again. Today there is options on a bigger range on base specific canopies, why do you want to be a test pilot?

I think I catch what ur thinkin mate, but I don't know if I'd go with a Spectre.

I mean for the right site with a good LZ a modern BASE canopy would seem like a bit of overkill. Why not , develop a new WS BASE only canopy, that had full ZP topsheet and some decent glide. In those regards you could jump a size even smaller and lighter that would pack up into a smaller lower profile size container and you could truck it up the hill even easier ?

Let me see. I think someone beat you to inventing that super awesome slider up BASE canopy.

this comment applies far less to experienced wingsuiters...

when selecting a parachute, remember the oh-shit factor. what happens if you realize you won't reach that sweet lz? premature opening? proximately flight error? off-heading, difficulty freeing your arms and headed for trees?

will you want a super glide ratio? or will you want a "standard" BASE canopy with good DBS?

your call. live with the consequences.
