Where did you hear head injuries were common for BASE jumpers? Did the head injury occur before or after one started to BASE jump.

In my case, they were all before I started to BASE jump. Does that still qualify me? Because I like biscuits.

i think someone is trying to suggest that head injuries lead to BASE, and ya know....hmmmm...now that i think of it.... lol

head injuries are shitty. a concussion is not a head injury. it's a concussion.

A girlfriend once bit down on my weiner causing a "head" injury.

When I was little I used to be left handed. After a "head injury" it switched me to being right handed, no shit!

Um, beg to differ with you on that point. I know you have been through an extremely tough trauma with your accident. Discounting an actual injury simply because it may pale in comparison to your first hand experience may be a it rash. I've seen some friends in pretty gnarly crashes who were rocked so hard they have loss in memory, motor control, and even basic situational awareness. They chalked it up to a concussion, aka, a serious head injury. Please people protect your head.

I remember doing a study at Bridge Day 2008 that cost me the only blood I (knock on wood) have given to this sport to date and a good couple of hours I will never get back and never did hear about how the results turned out. IMHO. Spend your time figuring out how not to get a head injury.
