Hey, I posted a bunch of vintage BASE photos. I tried to get them all in an album only, but they are scattered all over the front page.

Enjoy the gear. You guys got it good. Back then, nobody make it to a hundred without spending time in plaster.

And we totally missed out on wingsuits! AHHGGG!

I thought that all of the ass kicking youngsters might like to see this stuff. Origins of the sport.

I jumped a bunch with Phil Smith, BASE #1. That guy was hardcore. Also got to jump with Phil Mayfield, BASE #2. He was quite the ladies man.

There were maybe 20 active jumpers in the world around then, and everyone knew and jumped with each other. There were almost no legal sites back then, so a lot of guys spent time behind bars. When on probation they would have to leave their states to go jump, so there was a lot of traveling...
