Obviously, proximity to your "local" object(s) can affect how often you jump and when. In my case, I usually travel between 2-3 hours each way to jump. That being said, there are jumpable objects which are closer to me, however, because I'm a rookie, I'd rather jump objects that have been tried and evaluated by more experienced jumpers and, historically, are less likely to draw attention from law enforcement. Unfortunately this has seriously impeded the amount of jumping that I've been able to do. Anyway, I'm curious how long everyone else spends traveling to and from the object(s) they jump most frequently. Any thoughts are appreciated.

 

For the "we're going tonight, you coming?" jump, about 30-45 minutes one way.

I travel 5hrs for an all nighter with 3-4 jumps.

i drove from jacksonville florida to new york city to back down from a building jump once.

came back and got it 6months later, same packjob.

Im was kinda in the same boat as you, Jack79, only now that I have the skills to jump the object thats a 5 min drive, I don't ever have ground crew to go along. This is a jump that absolutely requires it too. So instead I drive 1.5 hours to the easier object and just jump the crap out of that.

For a 700 meter WS jump 1 hour door to exit...

We just drove last weekend 3hrs (one way) for a 38m cliff. And definitely worth every minute. :)

To the object I jump most frequently it takes first about an hour of drive, then a 2.5 hour flight, 2.5 hours in train (or 2 by car), 15 minute cable car and then a brisk 20 minute walk.

I also jump on occasion the 60m freestander that is conveniently located a 15 minute drive away from my home :)

Average commute? About 26 hrs flying with EMIRATES followed by 3 hrs on a train to my preferred exits. Last tally was 17 round the world trips, 6 to the USA and 2 to KL. Anyone who can drive to an exit point is lucky (there are some scabby local objects but that doesn't count..)

I haven't noticed responses from those all nighters from Colorado and Las Vegas etc. who arrive at Perrine in daylight time to jump. If you included air miles and time you'd be counting from all over the globe.
