I even understand how that post, and other comments, is viewed as massively offensive. (it is not the first thread that offends, just look at the Christianity - HOAX thread...)

just as BASE jumpers choose NOT to jump at times, I'd suggest that we don't always reply to offensive things with further hostility. we will never agree with everything or everyone.

I personally would welcome a reasoned debate, but a screamfest doesn't enhance anything. sure, it might pass as political debate on some TV programs, but this is not the right place for that.

feel free to disagree. feel free to point things out to one another. (I've needed that as well...) but hostility tends to harden attitudes, not change them. it tends to be whole counterproductive.
