treading lightly
i had surgery a couple years back on one ankle resulting in very limited motion. It hasn't caused me any issues as far as jumping, I launch with the opposite foot and have no problems landing on it.

Yet, we all want to be especially quiet from time to time. Lets say in some completely random, "my friend of a friend who babysits this guys goldfish told me..." walking up the stairs in a building U/C, when the curtain has already been installed and you can hear a fucking pin drop. No wind enters the building to rustle shit and drown out your clumsiness. This fucking bum ankle slams down no matter how hard I try to "tread lightly." I was thinking about possibly putting something on the toe of my boot to somewhat "cushion" the blow of every step and subsequently the sound it makes. Just wondering if anyone has had success in trying to accomplish the same thing... (in case it matters i jump han wag's sky gtx)

constructive remarks only, unless its funny then have at it kidssss...

Re: [doogi] treading lightly
How much motion do you have on that ankle, or more specifically, what kind of motion? A couple of years ago, i had to have surgery on the bottom of one of my feet, resulting in a funky gait for a while. In order to get around quietly and non-frankenstien-esque, i padded the shoe/boot of the bad foot to where it was comfortable, and then matched the other one. It took some getting used to, almost walking on the balls of my feet, but once i got the hang of it I was fine. Just a thought. Good Luck!

Perhaps wear really light weight sneakers,
like converse or something for the walk up,
and then put on your boots at the top.

...or ballet pumps; they will be easier to stash.

How about putting a large pair of thick socks over your boots?
