I am about to order a rig with a flik 254 ultralite. I want to be able to use this on terminal and wingsuit jumps but would also like to use it on low stuff.
My question is how many vents can it have without making the terminal openings too hard? Or can a heavily vented canopy still be controlled with slider and reefing? I realize there are a lot of variables, but has anyone had similar canopies with different vent configurations and noticed a difference in terminal openings?

Oh and you'll be fine with 4cells vented. No probs at terminal and still rock solid for the low lows

why the ultralight?

If the Flick Ultralight is simular to the trango (same material and same lines) it probably should not be used for low jumps.
Regarding the vents for terminal openings:
This is overrated. I have an ACE 260 and a BJ260 with vents. I jump both canopies on low (not ultralow) stuff, termanal tracking stuff and terminal WS stuff. I pack the canopy same (exept of course the slider and tailgate) for low and high stuff. I don't think the vents make a big difference on a terminal opening.
My personal opinion based on the jumps I made...

I'm getting the ultralite because i want a second rig and for me i feel the significantly smaller and lighter package is worth the extra money.

According to apex: the ultralite with the dacron lines can be used (and has been tested) for slider down jumps the same as the standard flik.
